DAY ONE: DEPART
Board your overnight transatlantic flight.
DAY TWO:
Welcome to Hungary! On arrival at Budapest
Ferihegy International Airport, Insight's Airport Shuttle Service departs for your tour hotel at 10:30, 12:30 & 15:30. Later, join your Tour Director for a Welcome Drink.

DAY THREE: BUDAPEST
After breakfast, you are chauffeured along elegant boulevards to Heroes'
Square, across the mighty Danube and up to the Citadel on Gellert Hill.
Look out over the famous river dividing the city. The Castle District of
Buda rises on the left, while the commercial centre of Pest occupies the
flat eastern bank; the two sides linked by the famous Chain and Elizabeth
Bridges. Most of the city's historic sites are located near the river so
your included orientation tour concludes at the popular pedestrian shopping
street of Váci utca. From here, you can plan your assault on the fine museums and monuments,
churches and synagogues, historic squares and buildings. (BB)
DAY FOUR: BUDAPEST – GYOR – VIENNA
A fascinating drive takes you past
the remains of the Roman settlement of Aquincum and along the Danube to the riverside village of Szentendre. This community has long been the haunt of artists, enchanted by its brightly coloured houses and quaint churches. Continuing eastward there is time for a visit and free orientation of the pretty town of Gyor, located on the confluence of the Danube, Rába and Rábca rivers. Although first inhabited by the Celts and Romans, the city is now noted for its baroque charm. The Austrian border and stately Vienna is only a short drive away.

DAYS FIVE + SIX: VIENNA
Discover the regal grandeur of Vienna over two glorious days; but first get your cameras ready for your included drive around the famous ring road. This grand boulevard, built along the lines of the old city walls, showcases many of the capital's architectural masterpieces, including the Opera House, magnificent Hofburg Imperial Residence and Parliament building. Afterwards, an included guided walk brings you to St. Stephan's Cathedral, one of Europe's great Gothic structures. From here, the Kärntnerstrasse beckons. Browse this bustling boulevard, plan your day's sightseeing at one of the renowned coffee shops and then take advantage of the vast U-Bahn network, trams and buses \
which will spirit you to all corners of the capital. (BB)
DAY SEVEN: VIENNA – CESKY KRUMLOV – PRAGUE
Leave now with Select Options or continue to
Prague. Once over the Czech border head for idyllic Cesky Krumlov, nestled amidst the Vltava River. Get your bearings with an included orientation tour before time at leisure in this medieval gem. Wander through the cobblestone, traffic free streets, past colourful houses that lead up to the finest castle in the land. Now continue through the green Bohemian countryside to Prague.

DAYS EIGHT + NINE: PRAGUE
Prague boasts one of the most beautiful and intact medieval centres in Europe. Where to start? A full introduction awaits you on your included orientation drive. There's so much to see – the 1000 year old Prague Castle, the Lesser town, Jewish Quarter and finally, the Old Town Square where the Astronomical Clock delights onlookers each hour. No doubt you've anticipated roaming the winding cobbled lanes so take your time to stroll across the statue lined Charles Bridge, rummage through the renowned antique shops and
bookstores or shop for the finest Bohemian crystal. (BB)
DAY TEN: RETURN HOME
